Corporate Advisory Associate – UK Advisory

Perella Weinberg Partners is actively seeking a junior Associate to join our Advisory business in London. Associates at Perella Weinberg Partners work closely with highly experienced professionals as members of lean deal teams providing a broad range of M&A and capital structure advisory services to the Firm’s clients, with a focus on high profile and complex situations.

This role will initially sit in the UK Advisory team; however, Perella Weinberg Partners provide a differentiated rotation and cross staffing programme. This means Associates are part of a sector or country team but spend a portion of their time being cross-staffed across the firm and in addition, there is an option to rotate into another team at the end of the year. Associates, therefore, benefit from both breadth of experience and being part of a team structure.

Responsibilities:

  • Build complex financial valuation models
  • Research, monitor and analyze financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions for use in advising clients
  • Engage in and manage due diligence processes
  • Provide support in managing the overall transaction process and timeline
  • Oversee analysts in the preparation of presentation and transaction materials
  • Work closely with senior team members and clients
  • Develop and deliver expert industry knowledge
  • Provide ideas and leverage to senior level management on new business opportunities
  • Develop and provide guidance to analysts
  • Establish and maintain the trust and respect of clients

Qualifications / Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Analyst in a leading Investment Bank or Boutique
  • Demonstrable track record of executing M&A transactions
  • Strong financial modelling, finance and accounting skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and enjoy collaborating with others on projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail and desire to take initiative
  • Fluent proficiency (written and spoken) in European languages a bonus, but not essential
  • Excellent academics

The successful candidate will be certified for the applicable certification function under the Senior Manager Certification Regime (SMCR).
