THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Investor Relations professional will be responsible for creating and presenting a consistently applied message to the investment community on behalf of PWP, and for monitoring and presenting to management the opinions of the investment community regarding the Company’s performance. The successful candidate will foster and maintain relationships with shareholders, buy-side and sell-side analysts, and the broader investment community. He or she will also stay abreast of the marketplace and PWP’s competitive positioning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and delivering long term plans and strategies to promote PWP to local and global audiences and create investment attractions
  • Developing and executing critical materials for the quarterly earnings release process (e.g., press releases, presentations, call Q&A prep) and other financial press releases, as well as senior management and Board presentations throughout the year
  • Serving as a key point of contact for the investment community. Directing and managing ongoing dialogue for PWP with the investment community
  • Monitoring sell-side research analyst coverage of and earnings estimates for PWP, as well as that of the peer group and broader investment banking industry; consistently tracking Consensus estimates
  • Maintaining and building relationships with the buy- and sell-side research community
  • Monitoring developments within the investment banking peer group and producing analyses to be shared with senior leaders and executive management
  • Interacting with other internal groups (Finance, Legal and Compliance, Advisory practice areas) to create internal and external presentations for management (internal and external)
  • Researching and organizing data concerning existing and potential investors, and a system to assist with managing and tracking investor communications
  • Coordinating, preparing for, and attending investor calls and meetings, including the annual meeting
  • Working with Internal Communications to ensure that messages provided to employees regarding business performance are kept consistent with external communication
  • Creating and maintaining an investor relations database containing meeting records, information on brokers, investors, news events, etc.
  • Developing, maintaining, and overseeing the content of the Investor Relations section of PWP’s website to ensure up-to-date and accurate investor relations data is available to key stakeholders; additionally, monitoring analyst reports and summarizing them for Management
  • Working closely with F,P&A and Accounting professionals in preparing and disseminating financial disclosures including 8-Ks, proxy statements, etc.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

PWP seeks an Investor Relations professional who possesses exceptional communication and relationship building experience in the investor relations space. The individual will be dynamic, energetic, and have a demonstrated record of success with internal and external partners.

 Following are other key qualifications:

  • Credibility and a proven track record of building and managing relationships with investors and buy-side and sell-side analysts
  • Strong financial acumen and quantitative skills
  • Displays excellent judgment in crafting key messages and able to develop analytical and presentation materials with minimal oversight and assure the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Gravitas and confidence to work across the organization and at all levels within PWP, including the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer
  • Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail, as well as an ability to effectively multi-task
  • A professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive, non-public firm information is critical
  • Must have either significant IR experience OR significant experience in equity research covering financial companies
  • Experience creating press releases, Q&A documents, messaging, and other relevant materials to support public disclosures, earnings releases, and analyst events
  • Prior oversight of the production of annual reports and proxy statements
  • Collaborative; consensus builder with strong listening skills
  • Excellent project manager with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong leadership and management experience; outstanding team building, developing, and mentoring skills
  • Willingness to travel
  • Outstanding educational credentials
