Perella Weinberg Partners is seeking a Financial Reporting Senior Associate to join the corporate finance group in Houston, TX reporting to the Executive Director of Financial Reporting.  The role would include preparation of financial statements, SEC reporting and technical accounting research. The ideal candidate should have 3+ years of relevant accounting experience (public accounting and/or SEC reporting experience preferred), outstanding verbal and written communication skills, strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including complex formulas), as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment with strong attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in SEC reporting including the following areas:
    • Preparation of quarterly consolidated financial statements and periodic and quarterly SEC filings (8K, 10Q, 10K, etc.)
    • Share-based compensation and equity accounting and disclosure
    • Non-controlling interests and earnings per share calculations
    • XRBL tagging
  • Technical accounting research and new accounting pronouncement implementation
  • Coordination of annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • SOX control environment
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

 

Desired Skills and Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in:
    • Public accounting audit/assurance,
    • SEC reporting, or
    • Comparable industry experience
  • Strong accounting skills, including knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement presentation
  • Advanced experience with Excel, including building and maintaining complex workbooks and formulas
  • Fast learner with the ability to work in a fast‐paced, constantly evolving environment
  • Extremely organized and detail‐oriented
  • Self-starter who works well independently with a strong desire to learn and excel
  • Ability to research, solve problems, and take initiative to recommend process improvements
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

The annualized base salary for this position is $90,000 - $130,000.

The annualized base salary range represents low and high ends of the base pay range for this position. The specific base salary an employee in this job classification receives depends on a number of factors, including but not limited to, geographic work location, prior employment history/experience, job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.

Base pay is just one component of PWP’s total compensation package that may be available to employees. Depending on the position and other factors, other rewards may also include discretionary bonuses, Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), paid time off, and many other benefits, subject to applicable eligibility criteria and Firm policies.
