Analyst

Investment Banking Analysts at TPH are actively involved in all aspects of client projects including sell-side and buy-side M&A, equity offerings, debt offerings, private placements and other types of transactions. Additionally, Analysts will assist in the review of potential investments. As an Analyst, you will support live deals and pitches by completing financial analysis and models and conducting company/industry research. As Investment Banking assignments involve significant interaction with senior client personnel, TPH values maturity and strong presentation skills in evaluating Analyst candidates. Time management skills are also important as Analysts are routinely staffed on multiple assignments. Finally, maintaining a collegial, dynamic, team-oriented culture is of the utmost importance at TPH.

TPH offers an entrepreneurial, diverse culture where Analysts interact with senior bankers / clients and are asked to make meaningful contributions to deals.  While a background in finance/accounting or energy industry is not required, you should be comfortable with numerical computation/analysis and have an attestable interest in working in energy financial services.

The TPH Difference

Deal teams at TPH are small, enabling Analysts to have a meaningful role in their projects and gain direct exposure to clients and senior bankers across the firm. A typical deal team is comprised of a Managing Director, Director, Associate, Analyst and associated support staff.  This model enables our Analysts to gain broad experience.  Analysts are encouraged to recognize and evaluate the nuances of each transaction, leading to a well-rounded, highly quantitative skill set.  Analysts are expected to take on a high level of responsibility and can expect early interaction with clients and their senior management teams.

TPH&Co. (“TPH”) provides strategic and financial advice to investors, management teams, boards of directors, government bodies, and other professionals and participants in the global energy industry. We as a firm love the financial, technical, and moral challenge of both powering the economy and protecting the environment. TPH was founded in 2004 with the creation of an independent, energy-focused, research-only firm. TPH launched its energy investment banking practice in 2007, and in 2016 joined forces with PWP. For more information on PWP, please click here.
